Divisibility Rule for 4

Divisibility Rule of 4: This rule is used to check whether a number is divisible by 4 or not without performing long division.  A natural number is divisible by 4, if the number formed by its digits in units and tens places that is the last two digits is divisible by 4.

Also, if the number formed by its digits in units and tens places is not divisible by 4, then the given number is not divisible by 4.

ILLUSTRATION: Consider the number 79812. Since the last two digit that is 12 is a multiple of 4. So. 79812 is divisible by 4.

The number n = 23472392. Since, the last two digit that is  92 is a multiple of 4. So, n is divisible ny 4.

The number m = 23798531 Since, the last two digit that is 31 is not a multiple of 4. So m is not divisible by 4.
